I did, I deleted the game data and tried again,but to no avail ! Where else does the game save files? What else can I delele?

This might be an off chance, but perhaps try to disable internet (plug it out) and try it again. Maybe it's something network related...
Heh, funny that you mention the difference between U3 and U3MP - I felt that too! BTW to people holding off with the game because of it: It is noticable if you've just played U2, but otherwise, I'm pretty certain most people that haven't read or heard about it, wouldn't even notice it. It could be better, but it doesn't make the game unplayable and it still makes the game worthy of a day one purchase!
Does it even get to the title screen, or does it hang after you try to load a continue game save?Is anybody else facing the issue I am facing. My game isnt booting up at all. I put in the disc and it keeps showing me the rotating ring indefinitely.
It was working fine till uesterday. I deleted the game data, but nothing changed. Apparently there are other people too who are facing this issue, but they give queer solutions like insert the disc when the ps3 is vertical, which aren't working for me !
I am stuck, pls help!
Have you tried deleting also the save game data and starting from fresh.

There's a long thread with pole having similar issues ! If it was a Lens issue, it would not occur to so many with just this game

Doesn't even reach the Main Menu. Some people say it reaches the menu if u leave it for an hour

I did turn of my router and try Phil. it still doesn't work. its a strange damn issue.

Someone better make sure that Tomb is never found, because we all know where it's going to go from here, and in real life there are no checkpoints and restarts.

Well, I left the game at the loading screen for two hours, just to see if it works for me, but no luck ! The ring rotates for ever. I have made a post in the thread on their forums relating to the same issue with other people, but i don't see any dev replying there ! ND has abandoned me T_T !
And I deleted the profile too, nothing works. I'll delelte the save game snext and see !

First week, in Japan, Uncharted 3 has sold-through (Media Create numbers) 125,000
Calculations for UK were ~116,000
Helluva start for the game!
...and people say Japan isn't important...I'm just saying.....
I think Battlefield 3 is just as surprising:

You left out the 360 version of Battlefield which pushes it above 150k, I would personally count that as more surpassing than Uncharted.

Both are surprising, but BF3 even more so.
I'm sure it will sell more lifetime in the UK, but as mentioned already, they sold more copies in Japan than the UK!
Wonder if those Harrison Ford commercials had something to do with it.
