Many have described Nintendo's Revolution controller as the "next big thing" for first person shooters, and apparently Ubisoft agrees.

Recently a very poorly translated article came through to the GamesAreFun HQ, and considering that the Spanish media has been on fire as of late, we're going to take this one for face value.

It seems that besides King Kong and Killing Day, Ubisoft might have another game in the works for the Revolution. While we don't have many details yet, the game is said to be a "Doom-clone" that will be revealed by next E3.

Before you turn away, keep in mind that Nintendo representatives have recently stated that third-party developers (publishers, in this case) can reveal their games at any time and that it would be safe to expect new information regarding the Revolution before year's end.

The current status of the Ubisoft "Doom-clone" is rumored, but be sure to check back in case new details arise.

UPDATE: We know you Nintendo fans are used to rumors leading to disappointment, but this apparently isn't so! Another foreign site (hey, they have been on fire lately, has confirmed Assassin for Xbox360, and at the same time have confirmed Ubisoft studios in Montreal and Paris are both working on first person shooter titles for the Revolution. Aside from the "Doom-clone", we know nothing about these titles, but we do believe they are not the previously announced titles for Revolution (Killing Day and King Kong, amongst the few).

While many sites are picking this information up, and it does indeed seem credible (Like the worldwide Revolution launch, later confirmed, and Splinter Cell 4's story, later confirmed), remember to take this information with a grain of salt. Or a mountain, for you skeptics.

If true, that would be pretty good news. And I imagine the FPS portions of King Kong will also benefit from the Revolution controller.
