Also has anyone else noticed that the game's resolution plummets when the menus load? Looks like it goes to 320x240x8...

I think the Gamecube version looks MUCH better.

Anyway, for the menu, the original version ran at 320x240 and when you bring up the menu, it renders the last scene to a texture, which is then used as the background. I belive that on the Gamecube version it lowers down to that resolution to keep from breaking the original game code.

For the most part, GC version's framerate is clearly lower than 30 fps, and if I'm prety sure that the N64 version nerver reached 60 fps, even staring to an empty wall, or in the prerendered section.

My point was that the N64 sometimes exceeds 30fps while the GC version can't.

Also I think the N64 version looks better because it's much smoother... N64's edge AA works beautifully in OoT. It's a shame the GC version doesn't use the GC's anti-aliased resolution.
