TV's and the Revolution

I have been thinking and have been wondering if a larger TV would be a better experience on the Rev.

Gaming over the years has been adequate on small TV's and computer monitors. THe conventional controls make it like this.

With the Rev, you are waving your arms and hands around and it would seem to be a bit restrictive if playing on a small screen.

I am fortuante to have a 50" DLP, but some people have small TV's, expecially kids in their bedrooms.

I am sure it could be a fun experience regardless but a larger screen just would seem to open things up more with the new controls.

Thoughts?

Playing games like Metroid Prime 2 on my Samsung HDTV widesreen in 480p looks amazing. So I would assume the same if not beter would be true from the Revolution.

I am pretty sure Metroid Prime 1&2 don't support animorphic widescreen. I've seen my roommate playing it on the HDTV though, and it actually looks pretty good even though it's stretched.

I sure hope that all Revolution games at least have an option for animorphic widescreen/progressive scan, though.

why doesn't he play it in its original ratio with vertical black bars ? does he watch all 1.33 content stretched to 1.77 ?

Are you wondering how much the screen size affects the amount you have to move your hand? If so, Nintendo's solution is that there is a sensor bar that the controller reads instead of it being like a lightgun where it looks at the screen.

Waving your arms around is precisely what you don't need to do, apparently. It only requires small subtle motions to produce the results you want.

Oh trust me, third party devs will find a way to mess this one up.

Though that would destroy the illusion of some games if you were limited to small movement. Tennis/baseball/swordfighting want the full movements. That shouldn't matter on big or small screen though if using positional data rather than pointing, and the size of the screen of just affet how well you can see or not. Bigger would be better though as you'll want room for cat swinging.
