I was wondering how they were doing the awesome visuals at the Rush concert.

It was pretty cool, though I'm not sure it was truly a masterpiece of animation.

I wondered the same about the Tool concert I saw recently, if the animations were canned or displayed in real time (they seemed to be synced with the music to some degree).
