Too much story in modern games? *spawn

Well, seems like the story, even though it's a direct continuation of the first game, is also bringing back more of the classic comic elements then. Most of the stuff you mentioned is actually in the Darkness II. I'm not gonna say anymore because that would spoil the fun. I think if you like the comics you'll love this game. The creators certainly seemed way into the lore as well. I paid 20 pounds for it on Amazon.co.uk. a couple o' weeks ago - Fair deal.

I have a question for people... Do any on here pick up games solely for the stories?

Depends on the games. I did buy the "The Walking Dead" season pass because of the supposedly fantastic story (and two episodes in I'd say it has more than delivered in that regard).
