Here's a user level from Kuwait that uses the song. You should check it out - it looks pretty cool and shows how much smoother the final version looks (youtube high-quality available). It's about Kuwait apparently. I also really like the Youtube comments, for some reason comments in Arabaic characters just look awesome, and the idea that user content is going to be so varied and from all over the world is awesome.
LOL Arabic content in Lara? Now, what would that be? Her.... !
It's 30. I've seen it remain pretty much constant, save for things that happen when you're not actually playing (e.g. in the OS sub-menus, enumerating savegames, etc.).More screenshots: http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/142/14224305/imgs_1.html
Any idea on console framerate SMM?
For some reason or other, the PS3 shot was captured with Lara swinging in the wrong direction. Ummmm... I mean, that's the difference with the PS3 version. The level designers for the PS3 build were ummm... left-handed, and so... ummm... the levels are backwards.
Of course, the fact that the PLS is turned on in the PS3 snap and not in the 360 snap means that there is an additional lightsource (and haze) in the PS3 screenshot which is a large contributor to the color difference.
Well, if it's any consolation --Thanks SMM, keep the images coming. If there's no PS3 demo, you might want to post more PS3 shots and videos to get people familiar with the PS3 build (vs the other games). People are generally more negative when they can't eyeball a product of unknown quality.
When asked if there is a chance the demo will appear on PS3, Lindstrom replied: "I'm not entirely sure. I've been talking to brand, and I don't think there's a final answer on that yet."
Here's one straight off the PS3 build (you should be able to see PS3 button icons in case you doubt it) --Hmm... I am not sure a late demo will help increase sales much (compared to more PS3 hands on videos and screenshots). By that time, the consumers would be familiar with the gameplay. Demoes seldom deliver on the full playing experiences anyway.
The way our content builds and setups work, from the time to we hear about the possibility of a PS3 demo, building the demo itself could be done in about 3 hours... but then there would be the approval process which raises the time from 3 hours to about 3 days. All said about demos, though... even though they may not tell you much overall, I don't believe for a second that many people will go into a demo giving it that much of the benefit of doubt unless they were willing to give it the benefit of the doubt before even playing the demo. Basically, for those who aren't going to approach a demo with an open mind, the demo is probably going to be viewed as highly representative. The fact that our demo is more or less one level out of the actual game also doesn't make the case for it being a minor representation.
