June 10, 2005 - Track 7 is trying to prove that next-generation gaming will not leave interactive adventures in the dust. Its first project for PC and unnamed consoles seems to be a throwback adventure title that will appeal to fans of Syberia-like products -- a title that promises to incorporate next-generation technology with that type of gameplay, anyway.

mckmass i didn't post it cause i thought it looked bad , the backround is really washed out and blurry and most of the characters are in deep shadow

if ps3, can support 32/9, or 3.56:1 type display, I ask, is it actually even WIDE enough? Where are all teh games for teh 3.56 DIMENTION!?

Makes you think what HDR and DOF can do to the look of a game. As a shot that looks quite bland but i'm sure that when being played that will be pretty sweet to look at. I though that was a cutscene though. :D

They're not in shadows, that's what HDR does. Against a very bright background, the objects or characters tend to be very dark. It's a contrast thing. Remember, trying to imitate how the human eye works and all that jibberish.

Yet if you were standing infton of the sun on the horizon i would still be able to see your details as your not in shadow . Now if you were standing in front of sun with something casting a shadow on you , we would get what we see in that pic .

It looks very wrong

It doesn't look VERY wrong. It's just that the effect is very accentuated. I didn't explain myself very well before, the 2 chars ARE in shadow, more like penumbra, but becasue of HDR, the dark areas get VERY dark and the bright areas get VERY bright... And it's not an effect to simulate the human eye per se, but the camera lens - you can notice the same effect in movies, though not as accentuated perhaps unless it's a choice of the director or whoever takes care of the look of the movie.
