Theres currently two pictures of Splinter 4 (supposedly) ingame floating around

I can't post them since their identified as scans of Game Informer? (Some US Video Game mag). I suggest looking in the usual places to see if you can find them.

They both look nice. One of them has a Middle Eastern Desert setting and the other is a Prison. The prison one seriously looks like a render but the Desert one looks doable. Some people are saying its concept art, others are saying ingame, don't really know for sure what they are. I suggest keeping a look out for them.

Ive seen the Prison one... environment is nice... character models look terrible. Sam has (what looks to be) polygonal edges.

Maybe there is more to it than what I'm seeing, but I'm not particularly impressed. Should I be? (the lighting on the downed guy is very nice though)

Well some of the other scans (some fool posted the whole article on another message board ) have pictures that show some scenes with very nice looking textures (IMO). Not only are the visuals nice though, it seems as though Ubisoft and the SC team is implimenting new gameplay elements . I can't wait for SC4 (since my mom and I are getting my dad a 360 which also means I'M getting a 360)

I think you are talking about the Xbox shots that were floating around a couple of weeks ago.

You see them Scooby? They are nice. I'm seriously psyched for this game. The Game Informer article also explains certain gameplay details but I didn't get to read them. I only got to read someting about a Takedown system that allows you to press a certain sequence of buttons (that appear onscreen) to take down an enemy.

Its seriously shaping up to be a looker though...

Oh yeah, someone posted links to the whole spread Game Informer did on Splinter Cell 4. When looking at all of them, you can tell the rain pic is kinda more visually impressive than all the other pictures. All of them look visually nice though.

B3D has restrictions on posting Scans though (rightfully so) so I can't post them.

I've seen all the 11 GameInformer scans. Too bad there's really no clarification what pic is from the Xbox version or what pic is from the next-gen version or what pics show in-engine graphics.

So there mixing and matching the pictures? ugh Game Informer really makes me angry sometimes. If they are mixing and matching like that then the Rain Picture looks like its probably the 360 version or something.

As for the realtime vs cut-scene thing, that bottom shot looks like a typical in-game POV and scene. Doesn't look like a Splinter Cell cut-scene that's for sure.

That's only because the original was made for Xbox and not PS2.
The PS2 version of SC looks horrible.

It says 360 on some of the scans. I think it is safe to assume they are all from the 360 version, (seeing as that is what the interview was focused on) unless stated otherwise.

No some of them are from the Xbox, PS2 version. It says so on the prison pictures.

MGS4 never looked that good in pics. I think the best thing about it is the realistic animation. I'd like to see how SC looks in motion.
