Themrphenix's reputation as a seer *spawn

I can't.

There was one person a few years ago that said the consoles would have to have 8GB ram to support all the concurrent multimedia shit that would be pushed on them. I was steadfastly against this, saying no-way would a console manufacturer turn their gaming system into a bloated media box with a huge chunk of memory reserved for shit.

Then I saw the live Reveal Tent Dream Massacre.

But I don't think that was Themrphenix. At least, I hope not, because I want to scoff at him too. :(

I work for Bethesda Softworks LLC.I have a cousin who does dubstep music, and yes I used his stage name!It is not uncommon for people on the Internet to use screen names to cover their identity! The source I was told by works for Microsoft!

I had heard from a little birdy that Microsoft was playing around with 850 MHz and 900 MHz up clocks on GPU and ESRAM that's why they were having yield problems?
So did they decide to go against that and not up clock because of bad yields and that's where the down clock rumor started?
Mister BKillian can you confirm or deny with your sources?

My source at Microsoft says they are playing with overclocking the GPU at 900 MHz,and ESRAM to 900 mhz.The is talk of upping the memory to 12 gigs of ddr3 leaving 7 gigs for gaming and 5 for OS.The memory upgrade is being discussed because the 3 OS are clunky and taking up a lot of memory to run as smooth as they want it too!

They are waiting for the higher ups to give the go on it.The hold up I was told was they we not getting an consistency percentage on yields?

The 12gb ddr3 was something Microsoft was very close to doing, and the only reason they didn't is because of the upclocks and they got better efficiency from the flash and esram! That is 100% fact!

7Gb for games
3 or 4 for OS
Idk what the other gig is reserved for if they do go with the 12Gb and 900Mhz GPU and ESRAM

Working for Bethesda, do you have any formal/post secondary training in programming? In what languages?

He claimed the Xbox One would have 12GB of memory.

7GB for games and 3-4 OS. Yep. He also didn't know what the other gigabyte was reserved for.... Just one, huh?

He also said something about CPU/GPU overlook (unhappy he did not get credit for this one), flash inside the Xbox One and said something about 512mb of memory being reserved In the PS4.

And also said he worked as Bethesda and had a source at Redmond.

Also stated at some point Nividia and AMD will start adding second GCP to GPU's.

Going through his post history... not much there. Him saying stuff he "hinted at" is generous because he hasn't hinted at much of anything.

EDIT: I was beaten. Sad.

How is it we're not allowed to discuss the Neo in the tech forum but this garbage gets its own spin-off?
You're right. This thread should have been moved out of the tech forum, and there should be a decent tech discussion on PS4N. I've opened up that thread.

I dont think there should be technical threads based on nonsolid rumors. Shouldnt the tech threads only exist after the technology is known?

Some of the journalists's reporting on this have developer documentation direct from Sony in hand. I think that makes this more solid than your typical rumor. Since the information chain is effectively Sony->Journos->Us there's also less opportunity for things to be lost in translation.

As long as any speculation in the thread stays rooted in what is "known" than I think that there are some worthwhile tech discussions to be had. Assuming the angst stays over here, that is.

Alright, that seems valid then. Just when it initially hit it was hard to tell if it was just an internet echo-chamber based of wishful thinking of enthusiasts or if it was based on independent information.

I just hope the tech thread gets burried in non technical posts.
