This was taking from Computer College classes.
Some people said they had broke all of them :(

Bold = broken.

1. Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
Define 'harm'. I have definitely insulted people online, so I guess that's a yes.

2. Thou shalt not interfere with other people’s computer work.

3. Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s computer files.

4. Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
I stole graphics from other's websites or stole bandwidth by hotlinking. Who hasn't...

5. Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.

Isn't one purpose to go online is so you can have a different identity (avatar) of yourself?

6. Thou shalt not copy or use proprietary software for which you have not paid.
I once didn't restart my computer for 2 months so I can keep using the trial version of a software I'm using :p.

7. Thou shalt not use other people’s computer resources without authorisation or proper compensation.

8. Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
Same like #4?

9. Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you are writing or the system you are designing.
I don't always think about that when designing something with the computer... like that time I was bored and opens MS Paint and drew a penis on my friend's photo... :devilish:

10. Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your fellow humans.

Most of the points are very vague .

Was this a joke or a serious class discussion?
