i remember that r300 has 32 temp registers,but someone said the temp registers of r300 is 12,the constant registers is 32,the problem is :if r300 has 32 temp registers,that meas,shader model 2.0b will come ture for r3xx,i really don't know about that,thx.

I remember that an ATI employee (OpenGL guy?) said something about the temps not being fully exposed. Not sure about the exact numbers.

But the 2_b profile also assumes higher instruction counts. 511 instructions or something close to that. That's why it can't be supported on the R3x0 family.
