One of the most popular and famous games from which two movies were made, and a game I've never had, has been announced.

The fact that it has local co-op is a great feature. It has its page on Steam for those who want to wishlist it.

Interesring project. I'd just wish they'd add a deeper story, open world exploration, RPG ellements, a skill tree, side-quests, micro transactions, an over the shoulder third person camera, dodge and parry mechanics, a tumblr-like cast of character, longer cutscenes, cosmetic hats, a card collecting meta-game, current-thingist social comentary, audio logs, romance options, driving wheel support, and perhaps a tower defence mini-game (but that last one is optional). Aside from that, I think this can turn out as a good game.

So what pointer controllers It supports? Joycon and dualsense gyro?

Old light gun when using crt monitor?

VR controllers like vive controller?
a mouse or a trackball should do too, right? I mean, I don't know how the game works 'cos I've never played it but it seems to be well catered to that type of control

Their steam page specifically says "Gameplay faithful to the original game" and refuse to elaborate

I would have rather they went with Panzer Dragoon 2, but I'll take this. The remake of HotD 1 was pretty good, even if, like this one, the new voice acting kind of changes the tone a bit. Actually, if they were going to do another lightgun game remake, I wish they would have gone with Virtua Cop.

I think the mouse still fits that criteria. There are guns you can get for mame which work like light guns but they are basically just wiimote like things which mame treats like a mouse input.
