The AMD 9070 / 9070XT Reviews and Discussion Thread

The local retailer here says they'll have around 100 ~ 120 5070s and ~ 280 9070s and 9070 XTs (I guess it's combined) on their web store. In their physical stores it's around 20 per store. However, at least both 5070 and 9070 XT can be purchased directly without any bundling.
Price wise 5070s are from NT$19,900 with basic models to NT$25,990 with some sort of high end models (MSRP from NVIDIA is NT$19,900). There's no price for 9070 and 9070 XT yet as they are set to be available tomorrow.

Apparently those on the local retailer's web store are all gone (it's less than 30 minutes after it's available). The prices for 9070 XT are from NT$22,900 to NT$28,990, while the prices for 9070 are from NT$19,990 to NT$25,990. Basically 9070 XT are slightly cheaper than 5070 Ti while 9070 are basically the same prices as 5070.
On other larger web stores here (kind of like local Amazon) there are mostly expensive bundle packages and almost all are also sold out.

Newegg in the US sold out of MSRP cards in about 10 minutes. All XTs including marked up ones are just about gone after 30 mins, including the $800 SKUs. And just like that AMD sold more cards in 30 minutes than Nvidia did in a month.

I mean, AMD did "sit on" those cards for over 30 days at this point. Some of that delay has to bode well for initial availability...

Still, I have to assume you're not wrong, at least in the commodity user space: it does look like AMD will sell a lot more R90xx during the first month of launch than NVIDIA is going to sell 50xx series in their same launch period.

Maybe not 30 days. It’s very costly to store inventory. I would be surprised if they could hold inventory for 30 days for a large release. 30 days is a long time if they are pumping these bad boys out.

XTs are going for over $1000 on eBay. Some scalpers aren’t even waiting to get home first before posting the listing. Saw one XT that sold with a picture of the box on a car seat. Lol.

The launch is a bust, people can't buy the cards at MSRP at all, a 150 to 250$ markup is the norm.

Yep, it was just the first day rush that had actual MSRP prices. IIRC somewhere it was mentioned that Sapphire would be bringing in a XT model at close to MSRP price

If you’re close to a Microcenter there’s pretty decent stock still. Online shoppers are SOL though.

The fuck is going on with demand in the US? Are people really that afraid of tariffs?

Pent-up demand. Hype. Fomo. There’s been very little supply of GPUs above $300 for months now. My local Microcenter got an XFX drop today though. Navi 31 and 32.
