Sporadic posting faults in forum*

I've seen the error a couple of times personally, and I have an idea as to what's causing it. As soon as I get a spare hour or so I'll work on fixing it.

I get the same fault in IE8 on Win7. Sometimes I'll post and get a connection error. The content is posted just fine.

now I'm actually getting the content encoding error with Firefox (4.0.1) when just trying to open threads.

I started getting this error recently as well. Found this in the PHP docs, might be related:

Presumably either nothing is getting compressed or only part of the output is getting compressed and that is confusing the browser. I keep forgetting to check the response headers when this happens. . .
