I think it was demoing the new concept of Online so it was multiplayer. Or that was the intent... maybe?scooby_dooby said:What the hell!? That's not Sam Fisher....

"We have over 200 games in development", but guess what, everything is in video form and there is only a month left before launch!!!!! The X05 demonstration is so far THE very definition of the word DISSAPOINTING, neither game has demonstrated anything more than a nice texture-res increase and detail magnification over the current-gen consoles, but then again, even the videos shown that are supposedly cutscenes-only, barely raise the bar higher than a few nanometres over the current-gen graphics.
MGS III was impressive, now that's what i call Next Gen Graphics, be it on Sony PS3 or XBOX360 (they're both identical pretty much - architecture wise), KillZone II is a force to be reckoned with as well... but MS?! So far they haven't demonstrated anything that is truly next-gen and all that revolutionary ATI Unified Architecture is resource-wasting chit-chat, nothing more.

There are 3 people in the trailer: Sam-look-alike, big troll and some bald guy with night goggles; perhaps it is co-op mode. Looks surreal.Acert93 said:I think it was demoing the new concept of Online so it was multiplayer. Or that was the intent... maybe?

I nominate this for post of the year. I actually was rolling around laughing.
Sonys hype machine has taken another.

I remember the grin I had with the Chaos Theory graphics and was impressed with the development time they finished it in. They used the Unreal engine throughout the franchise so far, (if memory serves me correct) so the move to the UE 3 engine should be a fairly easy transition for them. If anything holds them back it will be getting the most out of the new consoles architectures.
I think the SC franchise has a bright future on next gen consoles. Well if EA doesnt end up owning them that is. :/
Because the SM3.0 code path in the PC version would make an excellent baseline for the game and might allow advanced development to start several months ago.scooby_dooby said:Why would they use a last gen engine?
