I have the PS3 version of FF13 and I am amazed by how crisp and clear the image quality is.
I am playing the game on a 1080p 42'' TV and it is hard for me to find any aliasing (except on some low res shadows here and there which isnt exactly the same thing).
The game chooses to scale automatically to 1080p if you have a Full HD set with all resolution options chosen.
So I was curious to check the box at the back. It says 720p, 1080i and 1080p. This is the first time that I see a PS3 game listing all resolutions including the upscaled modes.
So I was curious whats the catch. Is it a new choice to list all modes like what MS does with its games (listing native and upscaled modes at the back of the box)? Or is this because the real time scenes run at 720p and the CGI cut scenes run automatically at 1080p?
