Last I checked, Halo 4 sold 7.7 million copies. So, I think they are sticking around.
And the problem isn't the size of the box, it's the amount of heat it would produce and the noise it would make. People already comp,aimed about the jet engine that was the first 360, and I'm sure plenty of people actually went out and bought the 360 slim because it was quieter, smaller, and used less power and sold their old, likely unreliable box (I know of no one who still has their white 360, that thing was TERRIBLE).
