But will they be happy long enough with something kiddy like picto chat, wario ware? I think not, they're just too simplistic for 18 year old.
Maybe they're not too simplistic for a 30 year old, but 18 year old is more conserned by his "adult image" than a mature 30 year old

Nintendo, as a developer, pails in comparision to someone like Sega, who with their systems at least TRIED to come up with new ideas. Which is why I don't really like Nintendo.

Let's see..

Donkey Kong..

Of course not many parents are gonna buy their kids a 300$ toy, so it seems they have no choice anyway.
Also what SONY seems to forget: Nintendo is getting in those little kids brains for life. Most Nintendo fans nowadays will buy Mario and Zelda forever, simply because of all the great childhood memories. In 5-10 years there will be a huge 20 year olds Pokemon buying force on this planet

I thought the 80s are back big time? :? I certainly see a lot of 80s haircuts and 80s music nostalgia.london-boy said:If everyone were still buying things because of their "childhood memories", then Michael Jackson would still be successfull. And we'd all be wearing baggy yellow and blue checkered trousers and baggy red and green vertical striped shirts, and style our hair like in the 80's.... God i feel sick now...

You do know how big the porn industry is, right? Do you think that a shiny new portable and affordable Panasonic or Sony Blu-Ray movie player is going to make people suddenly begin to watch porn in public? We will soon see if these so-called "adults" are going to be playing video games in public as well. Remember that it is Sony who is implying that playing with a PSP is the "mature" thing to do.

london-boy said:Huh?? Am i the only one who failed to see the "logical" connection between the handheld market and the porn industry?
Remember when the president of Sony said that he didn't see the PSP as being a portable machine and instead sees it being played in the home? Remember when Kaz showed the PSP at E3 and no one applauded? There was like a collective "meh" in the crowd. Good luck Sony.
london-boy said:Actually, no i don't, but if you say so... I ain't buying the thing anyway so it's not like i care.
But for argument's sake, the porn-consoles argument thing is not logical. Or maybe it is in your brain but not mine.

Instant messaging by SMS or web is a little different than "instant messaging" by Nintendo DS.PC-Engine said:...
PictoChat is not a game It's a communication app aka an Instant Messenger. How many people over 18 use IM?
