Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that it had acquired Amsterdam-based developer Guerrilla Games, best known for its Killzone sci-fi FPS franchise, for an undisclosed amount. The two companies had a very close previously existing relationship as Guerrilla had signed an agreement to develop games exclusively for Sony in March 2004.
According to SCE Worldwide Studios president Phil Harrison, Guerrilla Games has a "great combination of creative, technical and production talent in their team and we have enjoyed a close working relationship with their management and staff for a number of years." For its part, Guerrilla stated that they were pleased to take their relationship with
Sony to the "next level."
