Exact details about the gameplay elements, characters, and stages have not yet been confirmed, but based on the promotional trailer, Shadow appears to mix the classic 3D platforming elements of Sonic Adventure with the insane weapon shooting of the Ratchet and Clank series. Of course, this only based on what we've seen from the trailer, so I'm sure there's more to the game than just that.

There is a video , looks pretty cool

Looks pretty awful you mean?

The trailer looks, and sound, like a bad joke. Shadow packs a nine, use it and shoot at random stuff while stupid overlay texts, worse than an action movie parody made by a twevle year old, fill the screen.

Shadow is a Hedgehog whom has been created as the ultimate lifeform, but he is haunted by his past. Enter the shadowy world! Hero or vilain... You decide!

:devilish:

This video was embarassing, especially since they added thoses footages of the previous Sonic games...

if you say so . I liked it and i will be picking up the game as like the other sonics from this gen they are great to play though with my little cousin

To stay on topic and without mentioning italian sausages, i find it hard to see how Sega can make a game that's similar to R&C123 and actually make a better game than R&C is. VERY skeptical. R&C123 and J&D123 are VERY good at what they're doing, very very very good, and Sega doesn't seem to have the resources or even the interest to release games that are as technologically advanced, balanced and simply FUN as those two monsters.

The Sonic franchise stopped being the best platform around (if it ever was, with Mario around) in the Genesis days. And there is nothing to make me believe that Sonic will ever be an amazing game again.

Sega should focus on their better franchises.

Shadow the Hedgehog still plays off the Sonic momentum-based speed gameplay mechanics, so it's not going to play too similar to Ratchet and Clank at all. It's expanding the scope of Sonic gameplay -- though potentially not for the better -- and the Sonic games have still been good.

Where the hell did people get the comparison with Ratchet & Clank from? I cannot see any resemblances. :?
It's because, R&C graphics are on par with first gen DC games, and because Rachet caps mofos with a Beretta 92FS. That's why...

But I thought you didn't like to play violent games especially with your cousin? Frankly the gun in "Sonic's" hand is a bit disturbing to me.

Amazing how the textures in Team Sonic games keep getting progressively worse since SA2 on Dreamcast in 2001.
Sonic Teams use of Renderware is like watching Kandinzky using an Etch-a-sketch as main tool.

Dance Dance Revolution. Parappa the Rapper. There are many non-violent games out there.
