So were there ever any reviews of the Oqo?

I remember hearing about this a while ago, and it's been out for a long time, but I never heard much about it afterwards. The company appears to still be in business, but honestly the hardware is looking a bit dated, especially for the price. How about throwing in a sub 1ghz dothan along with integrated intel graphics, SiS S3, or maybe powervr MBX if that can be adapted?

€2500 is just crazy for such a thing, that's at least 3x more than it's actually worth. The OQO is amazing from a looks POV and it's just the right size too, but the tech under the hood is a very mixed bag with some stuff that's great and some that's...not great at all. And battery life is poor.

Hmm, I wonder why tom's hardware says that 2 years ago it may have gathered a good following....for what it does there is no other alternative, now or then.

I wonder if a flash drive could have cut down on size, weight, and battery life, I've seen up to 5 GB flash drives for sale.

The oqo's design reminds me more of the old pocketpcs, back when there was an attempt to make PDAs into mini PCs.
