Shadows over Camelot -- video review of this hyped boardgame

I haven't had the pleasure of playing Shadows over Camelot yet, but I came across a link of a video review of the game. The video makes it a little easier to understand how the game works.

The premise of the game is that the knights of the round table work together to win against the "board". Also it's possible for one of the knights to be a traitor, making it if the "board" wins, he wins.

Right click and "save as" to download. It's only a 9 megabyte file.

The playing pices made of plastic come unpainted. Here is an example of them painted.

Corrected. :)
The game does look good but I don't know how to play it and how is this different from my card game?

I would like to make that game.

What about me?
I'll play with you.
It's been so long since I played anything on top of a table.

Good luck on the table that'll reach from Aus to CA.

How do you paint plastic pieces? What type of primer and paint would stick, standard model paints? I hated working with those and always preferred the water-based paints I used on my lead miniatures many moons ago.

You wash them and then paint them with a primer. Games Workshop has a really good online article with good painting tips.

It's surprising how much a difference a white primer and black primer makes.

Check out these two horse pictures, one that had a white primer coat, and the other with a black primer coat.

Saw this game at the "Spielefest" (Board Game Expo) here in Vienna in Nov - it definitely looks nice! Too bad I didn't get to play it (so many games, so few time...).
The question is if the gameplay really holds up to the looks - which so often isn't the case. (My worst experience of that kind: Hero Quest. At least with the standard rules/adventures... :) )

When it comes to board games with great visual design (board, figures, markers etc.), this looks awesome (and at least here we know it's a great game as well):

Settlers of Catan Anniversary Edition

Especially the wood chest looks great:

It comes at a €250 price tag, though...
