Well, I'm excited about it, though I can completely see how you're not.

Here

Perhaps here.

Certainly this is proof that the recession is over. ;)

Sorry for leading you on. Too much fun. (Pshah! Like I know people that work at AMD and NVIDIA and might hear when certain products are coming out--oh wait, I do!)

Australian prices for video cards are going to go through the roof. $2000 for a 32MB Rage Pro anyone? ;)

Heh, talking about September 19th -- wasn't Futuremark supposed to make an announcement of some sort today, you know, about the benchmarking guidelines and what not? OK, there's still some day left, I guess . . .

It's been postponed until all the FM BETA members have a chance to look at the new guidelines.

if you are willing to pay that you are an idiot  ;)

That's quite cheap considering the average price for video cards in that range here in Australia is around $10K.

Back on topic!

Oh my aching head. Too much alchohol last night. Then owie in the morning. Well, ok, owie all night long. And in the morning.

Life will be grand today, going to Fiesta Texas with my sister's kids.

Actually, IPO's are apparently priced that way to have a built in 20-25% gain on the first day of trading. The IPO investors agree to buy the initial shares from the company at about 20% less than what they think the market price is. (So they can churn some of it on the first day and make their money)

It wasn't the .com IPO I had always dreamed of (instant millions for all of the rank and file), so it'll take continued hard work to add value to the company before I can move up to a deluxe apartment in the sky.

But I'm not gonna turn it down. :D
