i went from a pata burner to sata
much easier, didnt have to deal with
compatible mode
enhanced mode
combined mode pata
combined mode sata
combined mode pata + sata
I have 2 hdd and a dvd burner on the SATA in AHCI mode with out any problems. Im using a AMD 690G and SB600 chipset too. The other system is using the same mobo and it has 2 hdd in AHCI and raid 1 with another hdd and a dvd burner to with out problems.
