Rumors on valves next VR device are saying this year at $1200 and valve will be selling it at a loss even with that price tag.

I wish they'd have a pc only version. I would perfer a unit that wirelessly tethers to my pc only. I am never going to travel with mine and my pc will also be better hardware than what they can put in the unit and will only become more so as the headset ages.

They wouldn't save that much with a wireless only device. It still needs to be at least an XR2 chip for spatial tracking, eye tracking and video streaming.

One of the leaks months ago said it could support index/vive towers for tracking or inside out with built in cameras. So you might get what you want in that aspect if those datamined leaks hold true.

Oh I already know it supports light houses if its like the protype I used two years ago. But who knows what has changed
