Well since Resi 2 will be a remake of a game that didnt have that crap, I see less reasons to be worried.
But in your case you are both worried with making few changes (like insignificant post processing effects) because its a Remake and making many changes that will make it too different

When it comes to contemporary Capcom? Yes.

There are other reasons to fear such as messing up the character's faces. Already happened to Jill, Claire and Ada. Or cheapskating on the voice actors, which already happened with Sally Cahill in RE6.

Well I am a little worried too to be honest. But the Remake aspect is promising. I hope Capcom learned a lesson. Its the only chance we will get a proper Resi in years.
