Apparently a lot of the actual application part is, no surprise, still proprietary.

Insider source ;) says Dreamworks has similar stuff, completely rewritten animation apps, costing LOTS of money.
 
Beefy Quadros and a lot of memory I assume. I know from an earlier paper they use Yebis for realtime camera simulation and probably some other middleware. But yeah, the fun stuff is always going to be proprietary =\
