Hi, Im wondering if someone could tell me what the best Stripe Size would be for my needs. Here is my situation:

three 120gig maxtor SATA 7200RPM Hard Drives.

Ill be using the system for both Gaming, and Video Editing. Ill be dealing with very large files in excess of 100gigs. Any help is appreicated. Thanks!

Here's a starting point to decide on what stripe size you want to use.

Here you will find a RAID Controller comparison that measures different stripe sizes...

Your controller will determine the choices you have. 4K,8K, 16K etc. It depends largely on what types of apps you run and how you use your PC as to what size to use.

I am using 128K right now and it seems to be a good compromise for me, but your situation will be unique.

Storage Review addresses that old Rule of Thumb and others. Matching cluster size is not always best. They recommend experimenting with different sizes to find what's best for your usage patterns.
