Rage3d has been compromised

mate, that statement doesnt make sense in the slightest unless u have access to a timemachine but even then its dicey

 

I noticed this morning that my hotmail account has sent spam to everyone I had been in contact with in nearly two years, and sure enough I had an account at Rage3d, and the password was the same. Last login was March 1 2003. Heh it was long time ago, I remember I was flashing my Radeon 9700np to Pro with MuFu's bios and was having some problems with it and asking some noob questions.

 

You mean I wasn't buying herbal Viagra from you?

 

Is Rage3D down again?

 

Seems like it, can't access the site since yesterday.

according to IRC (#rage3d, irc.gamesurge.net) it's not maintenance.. question was asked it it was due to maintenance or result of DOS, got a "negative" on both iirc.

 

So, not an attack and not down for maintenance.... goes down almost precisely on August 1st...

Sounds like a billing matter.

 

Well, it would be nice to know, so I can bother to start establishing a presence on other forums.
