IIRC: The 'old' Diamond stayed with SonicBlue who, probably as an effect of going bankrupt, sold those assets to a company called
Best Data in August last year. Looking at whois-information for diamondmm.com it also seems that this company may have some further relation to Digital Networks North America (again owned by
D(enon)&M(arantz) Holdings, Inc.) who picked up the rest of 'post-bankrupcy SonicBlue'.
When it comes to #9;
this page mention S3 Graphics lisencing old tech back to a company founded by prior #9 employees in 2002. This is long after the establishment of the joint venture, so I would guess that all #9 IP went that way.
