PSN weekly updates

I actually bought Injustice, partly because I thought my kid would like it. It's not very pretty, but it seems native (will check), runs smooth and I enjoyed playing it.

I've been wanting to play First Light as well, but haven't bought it yet because I had played Infamous: Second Son so much that I was a bit done with it. Now obviously I'll not get it until then. ;)

I bought Injustice on ps3. Didn't exactly love it but I'm sure the extra clarity will make me want to play it through again. Story was great but just couldn't get into the fighting itself.

I bought injustice too when it was on sale, don't remember how much. First light bought last week :D though I liked it much.

Nothing can beat Resogun , though, AAA or not, that has been the best PS+ game till now  !
I won't be downloading Injustice, don't care for it.
First Light would be fun considering how much my family still plays INfamous SS. I lost my save games twice though. THrew me back in the story twice for no reason.

I have a Vita, PS3 and PS4, and the amount of games is almost overwhelming. PS4 alone is still decent, imho, but I definitely think that anyone who takes Steam as a measure for the value of Playstation Plus or Xbox Live is [strike]misguided[/strike] spoiled.

Corrected that for you. Or rather, for me..

Maybe it is my problem being spoiled. But we're entering an era where a windows PC or a Windows Tablet that could play almost all of these games in Steam can be purchased for less than $120, so the ability to own these graphically-simpler indie games for a couple of pennies is getting much broader and easier.

And I'm not even taking into account that some of these games can also be bought for Android devices for even less money.

So am I getting spoiled? Maybe. But so are getting a ton of other people, and that's a real problem for Sony and Microsoft. IMHO, they can't rely this much on the indie scene for boosting their subscriptions' value. Not for long, at least.

Anyone seen any news on Journey PS4/Vita yet? Didn't they reveal it would be coming around E3, and it's now quite late in the year...

I always download the free games, then delete them as needed. I do hope the ps4 has a good file management system as it must already be quite fragmented by now...

You can cancel the download right after starting. And as of 2.0 there is a special button to register the game to your downloaded list without even starting the download... ;)

Some good discounts on the EU store for those who missed good games. I just bagged Batman Arkham City for less than £8, with Arkham Asylum being free with PS+ last month. So all set for Arkham Knight :yep2:

You'd still have to pay for them, in addition to a console if you want a console. If you have a console and want these games, you get them for free with the online subscription. If you don't want online, you can not pay for it and then buy these indie titles separately on PC. How much would that cost a year? I don't know, to be frank, but I'd be surprised if it's a significant saving on the $50 annual subscription. And if it is a significant saving, these indie devs will be going out of business before too long. ;)

The only real argument against the value is if one doesn't care much for the console and its exclusive library. If one buys a console to play indie titles and these can be played for cheaper on PC, then yes, the added value of an online subscription fee that comes with content isn't great - get a cheapo PC and Steam and various Humble Indie Bundles and free online gaming. But from the console perspective, you have to pay the online fee anyway so any content is good, and in terms of savings it's pretty good value, especially when you get the AAA games included later on.

I read an article about the release window of movies, and how most big movies make 80-90% of their revenue in the first 6 weeks these days, with some notable exceptions.
It would be interesting what the 'release window' of games is, when they make the vast majority of their sales and when it starts making sense to put them up for free on PS+.

Nice, finally a game I really want to try out...I hope this is the beginning of a new trend!

It's gonna become a new trend once there's enough stuff out there they can actually give away. When the service launched on the PS3 there was already a massive back catalog of games to choose from. I just don't get why people have such a hard time wrapping their head around that fact.

Or did you buy that before maybe on Vita or something like that? I think I bought the Vita version, so I probably got it for free because of that. And maybe it's been on Plus before for Vita or PS3?

Just bought Ground Zeroes for £7.49. Sony are having a bonkers sale.
