It is in any case what David Reeves made it clear, the president of SCEE, at the time of the ELSPA International Games Summit which was held in London. This last in addition announced that "Playstation 3 will be launched to Europe in the neighbourhoods of the same time recently evoked by Kutaragi-san: spring 2006". This advertisement under thus hears that the next console of living room of Sony could know a world launching in quasi simultaneous following the example certain Xbox 360 of Microsoft. The Japanese giant seems more than ever decided to slow down the future console of the firm of Redmont. /babel fish/

and psp was going to launch also in december 2004 ...

well i hope it off course, but i doubt it seriously

Sony's going to poop on our heads here in europe just like they've done with all their previous launches, and just like every other japanese console manufacturer has also done since the dawn of time. Spring 2006? Yeah right!

Looks like a bad translation to me.

Speaking at today's ELSPA International Games Summit in London, SCEE's president and chief operating officer David Reeves said, "I like to think the PS3 will launch in Europe around the same time as Kutaragi-san has already mentioned - spring 2006."

But for the time it releases in Europe G70 will have been out for more than a year!
But g70 is not the same as RSX. At least that's what sony is claiming. They say they are still designing the gpu.

Spec claims aside, the G70 is manufactured on 110nm and the RSX will be manufactured on 90nm. So they are indeed different chips.
