PS3 October Events

This just in.. a big PC-dev will show something(?)

Start the hype now..

Yeah I read the same thing over @ gaf, but it's kinda hard to get hyped without knowing which PC dev. ;)
Either way, can't wait to see what they show/tell this thursday.

Well, if that's the case, my money would be on World of Warcraft on PS3. Or something. ;) It would make a lot of sense, the PS3's online setup would even in these early days be suitable enough to take advantage of the existing infrastructure without many modifications. Should be a relatively painless port, with the most attention required to the controls.

There aren't really many other big developers that are considered 'PC', I think. Surely Epic isn't considered one anymore, and I can't think of many other things.

Then again, my guess is as good as any.

This is how rumors start lol.

As much as I'd like WoW to be on the ps3 (and everything fits for it to be there, hdd space, subscription plans on PNP, mouse and keyboard support, etc)...I'm not even going to begin my speculation on what Sony will announce/show. Lets just wait and see what happens. ;)

Taken from gaf, thanks to 1up's luke smith. This seems to be their schedule on Thursday..
11.30-1 p.m: Developer Roundtable "Developing Games for PlayStation 3"
1 p.m: Travel to XXXX Studios
2 p.m.-3 p.m. Presentation at XXXX studios
3 p.m. - 5 p.m. PlayStation 3 Arcade (i.e. Hands-On with PS3, I'm looking forward to this part)
5 p.m.- 8 p.m. Cocktails and Live Musical Performance

XXXX studios, reminds me of rather different studios than anything related to gaming. ;)

I know, dirty mind.

lol, he purposly blocked the names out because he wasnt sure if the schedule was under 'embargo', just playing it safe on his part. :)

Travel to xxx studios, with one hour travel time. Wouldn't that be enough to figure out which developer from the venue? Which dev has a studio there at an hour distance?

The Sony London Soho Studios.
A similar presentation as to what was given to Eurogamer about the Playstation Network by Phil Harrison, with maybe some games presentations too and overall presentation of the PS3.

Ok, so what PC devs are also in London?

Oh, so it is supposed to be a PC dev  , sotrry.
What big PC devs are there in the UK?
On the other hand, where does it say the XXXX Studios is a PC dev? It says a presentation from a big PC developer.
The PC dev might be there at the XXXX Studios to present something or simply Phil Harrison might show the latest build from UT2007 or something.

My money is still on the London Soho Studios, in fact I'm positive it'll be Soho.
What do I get if I'm correct??

a one hour time gap between the events can't get you that far (Is Soho near enough to Hammersmith?) taking into account all transport and wait times plus "settling in" etc.

This surprise will probably only disappoint lol. It happens about every time.

Not every time. Oblivion wasn't a big disappointment (at least in terms of speculation, it was what we guessed) and the just announced PS3 Linux support is definitely not a disappointment at all. Even the finally revealed Sony Online stuff wasn't a disappointment (at least not to most). Sony should be expected to still have a few aces up its sleeve - they're getting ready for launch, with one month now to go.

So many events my head spins :?:
So, the event the 1uppers are going is in SF and is held 19-20th October,
in addition there's some developer event in Hammersmith
and the Premiere Party at LA before the November launch.
Am I up to date now?
