I knew it! I've been saying it all this time havent I? You can pretty much tell straight away from the recent footage. I remember the blood meridian level is well over 1 million polygons so that would make a kz3 level roughly 4 million polygons if not more. Simply incredible.Wow! That's a huge! 10x the level size, 3x the polys, 3x the draw distance, and over 2x the disc space of Killzone 2!
I was playing botzone from the alpha earlier today admiring the feet it has so much detail just for feet.Really love the mechs design.

Also that they claim it's using "100% of Cell" strikes my PR BS meter.
What are the polygons used for if it looks about the same as KZ2 (minus the scale). Can anybody point out to me the extra 3x polygons? In comparative pics plz no "worse pic of KZ2 ever vs KZ3 bullshot" stuff plz, as I know that will be the first response .
Is it just because of the massive robot boss/supposed larger draw distance?
I suppose on the fly in to that frozen Iisland, you could be looking at a crapload of polygons, especially if the waves are polygons too, but it's not like KZ2 didm't have some pretty big areas and a fly in to the first level.
But I mean the gun model polygons looks the same.

Anybody know what time the demo will be up tomorrow?
Really curious to take a look at this! See how the MLAA looks etc...
43.8 GB, that's what I'm talkin about.

Even in KZ2 there was a limit as to how many muzzleflash shadows would show on screen at once. Probably the same here.

I did, and I didn't see them anywhere. I heard the jetpack guns had them though.Hmm? Have you played the first beta? It's still in

The thing I noticed about PR shots is that they tend to omit the self shadows and other type of shadows in order to show more texture and model details.
