(PS3) High Resolution photos from GDC

NIce! They look even more impressive in motion (obviously). It was nice to see the car shot to pieces, what looked in stills like low res dithering in the car , appears in the video to be a reflection of the desert, so that should shut the "PS2 resolution textures" claims.

The Heavenly Sword physics/ragdoll tech demo was also impressive.

Lair.. I can't wait to see the one on one dragon fights animated, the models look insanely detailed.

The Ratchet and Clank plus Warhawk however, I was more impressed by the pics, don't know why but maybe it's just because the vids were too blurry and juddery.

I don't think anyone was complaining about the texturing in that one. In fact, the 'paint shader' for the car was singled out in a number of reports for its quality. You can see the imperfections in the paint job and 'sparklies', maybe that's contributing to what you're talking about.

I was quite impressed at the bullet-hole deformation. No flat decals, really nice.
 
Oh my, Lair looks spectacular (even if it is only the TGS demo)! Through this crappy pieced together video they could be mistaken for a commerical, advertising some die cast dragon models.
 
I'm very impressed. We definitely need direct feeds though. There's only so much Squint-o-vision can do to see what's realy there. But from this those Lair graphics looked outstanding in quality, and the Ratchet and Clank lovely wonderfullly full and detailed.
 
HOLY Shh... Warhawk, Motorstorm, and Ratchet and Clank will be my lovers tonight. My god. Did you guys see all of that activity going on in the RC demo? Damn.:oops:

I don't even remember the last time I was that technically impressed with a game.

Edit:...I'm talking about Ratchet & Clank just so you know.

Great I see Gaming Age has implemented politically correct a rule of the masses reputation system too. Now all the Xbox fans can turn red (it's happening already).

So nice when I post somewhere like Hardocp that doesn't have that garbage..like gasp, you're name stands on it's own!

Xbot I lean toward Xbox and Xbox360 and I'm not in the red. I once had a red dot but I cleaned up my posting act accordingly and... LOOK AT ME NOW! I got it made in the shade! :cool:
