It was obsolete technology when it released with a weak CPU (3 1 gamecube CPUs clocked quite low) and the same Gamecube GPU overclocked by only 50% which was incredibly weak (and old tech). Also because of full hardware compatibility with Gamecube the architecture was a frankeinstein and hard to use.
