How to get region free DVD playing on a PS2?

No, this is not an easy question, :devilish: because the model we are talking about is the SCPH50000MB - Japanese midnight blue system that ships with BB unit and has an enhanced DVD player that outputs pro-scan and reads additional DVD formats.

DVD Region X. You insert it, select region, and then you insert your DVD. Works fine for me.

Will it work for all models? The complication is because my unit runs on BB navigator 0.3.

I'm pretty certain there are PAL and NTSC (Jap+US) versions of DVD Region X. I've had it since shortly after launch, mainly because it is the only way to get true RGB output out of PAL machines (U know, the old green screen issue with Macrovision)...

It's like a boot disc; pop it in, choose the region (ANY regions from 1 to 6) and off u go. as long as u don't reset your machine, there is no need to insert the disc again between one disc and the other. If you do put it on standby, you will need to insert it again.

Search on the net, it's very easy to find, i found it at Virgin here in the UK...
