Project Cars [PS4, XO]

Thanks guys, I think I'll wait for the full retail release though and see how it fairs in the reviews. Do we know if this will/does support 3D vision? That would be a big motivator for me.
I think so...

Which reminds me of the fact that I can probably watch this 3D video in my TV. I shall try.

Davros, funny you mention that, as I have no idea to be honest. I haven't heard of it, and I would be surprised if that was the case.

I do know slighly mad studios licensed isimotor 2 (not sure what game)
isimotor consists of gmotor (graphics engine) and pmotor(physics engine)

I don't know to be honest. In order to know or ask anything you could register at the game's website, but the forum is only open to contributors for now.

They have released a few more pics of the game.

Game is looking damn good...

The developer also promised that there's no funny business going on with the images. They are all pulled directly from the game and have not been doctored in any way, the studio said.

"As usual, all shots show purely in-game footage that has not been made in any special photo mode, using no post-processing or filters that aren't available during the actual gameplay," the studio said. "What you see below is what you experience while driving!"

The grassy/leafs/road picture is gorgeously rendered.

The pic of the black car with the Vulcan tires looks unusually good. They actually got it looking like that in game play on console?

The IQ is very much within the PC domain, PS4/XB1 probably not.

Correction: The previous headline and article text mistakenly inferred that these images were taken from the console version of Project Cars. The game is available on Xbox One and PS4, but the following images were generated on PC. -- Justin Haywald, Senior Editor

First official picture of the WiiU version of the game. The car has the same brand of tires as the black car joker454 mentioned.

There are much more shots of WiiU version of the game, but that is posted on backer PCARS forum. Devs asked us backers not to release them. Somebody obviously did not listen.

i wonder when we'll see PS4 shots...:/ i wanna see how it compares to the PC version, i'm sure it'll look good, which is all i care about, but nothing wrong with comparing and contrasting....

Xbone and PS4 entries are present in every changelong during past month or so... but I dont expect any public showcase anytime soon.

Some stool pigeon... It wasn't me, I swear.

The game is targeting 1080p and 60 fps and has some interesting ideas for Xbox One's cloud. Plus, the developers explain why the game didn't make it into PS3 and X360.

They should turn off DOF in-game if that second shot is supposed to be in-game.

Looks good, but the aliasing is a problem, we need some SMAA up in this. It looks like they are using FXAA right now

I think this news is not really surprising to hear because as we all know, next-gen games for next-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4 in arcade or simulation racing category have to focus on bringing more advanced graphics, although the gameplay and the damage engine also need to be improved to the next level. So every developer should put more focus on the graphics first, then the gameplay, then the others. They would rather cancel this title than letting it be released but failed miserably against next Need for Speed game or other racing games.

SMS posted some more PS4 screens. Looking great.

Due to popular demand we've added some more screenshots from the PlayStation 4 version of the game to peruse over below!

We've also had a number of questions on how we take our screenshots too - do we use some special photo mode or trick that only the development team have access to? Or were they taken on PC really or captured at a huge resolution and scaled down?

The answer is no to all the above - all screenshots are taken just like you'll be able to in the final game... by simply pausing and snapping away.
