Problem with 8800gt

Really weird problem I am having today.

I just got an 8800gt 512mb and a 500watt PSU, so I took out the old PSU from my PC and stuck new stuff in there. When I turn it on, the fans start turning but it doesn't actually boot. I take out the 8800gt and, voila, it works perfectly on the onboard video.

Any ideas?

With the 8800GT in clear the CMOS (remove the battery or short with pin) and then try booting.

No luck. I am beginning to think that I am going to have to just RMA it and get a new one.

What kind of motherboard/chipset do you have? Specifically, does it have any problems with PCIe 2.0 boards? For instance, some boards from ASRock do not like the 8800GT and won't post.

I have a Biostar 7050-m2, which is an Nvidia chipset.

I figured it out. The mobo wasn't reading the input from the card correctly, so it needed a BIOS fix. Now it works.
