PowerVR Shows The Way at ARM DevCon 2004

I was curious more about Renesas. The Japanese semi's have a lot more experience on the video side than with 3D. ARM's video support looked weak, so it seemed a little surprising that the majority of MBX licensees would take it (surely the TI OMAP's, etc. would not). Intel is not surprising since they always get their video elsewhere (like the IP core stitch-fest that is their set-top project, etc.).
 
I could see one of these Renesas socs specifically the sh3707 being used in a handheld by Sega Sammy.

Come to think of it there isnt much planned by them on either the DS or the psp.

Using PowerVR MBX and related IP cores

I can't imagine anything else than the prementioned as in being related IP cores.
