Pixel Counting

Hello, I'm new here.
I'm Alessandra from Italy and I very like the concept of this forum, not to mention that I like video technology.
Sorry in advance for my poor english. :S

As I can't seem to post it in the proper forum, I'd like to ask you guys, if you could explain me this:

What I'd like to know is how you can determine the 54 pixels. I can see the 32 steps, but I really have no idea whatsoever what those 54 pixels refer to and more importantly how to count them. I tried to count the little square both vertically and horizontally but I never got them right. sighs.

Anyone could explain it to me, please?

I assume he counted the number of actual pixels on the screen from the highest step to the lowest step in the vertical direction (you can mostly make out the pixel structure). Eyeballing it he is correct that it's 54 pixels.

if the image is actual size you can load it into a graphics program and select image properties it will tell you the size

edit: its not
its actually 1,405 x 465 pixels according to opera right click image properties

As I said, you can make out the pixel structure so you can count them ... 54 seems about right.
