Actually, the last two months, when they had to spin (as opposed to brag, as in the previous 12 months) the spin came 24h in advance. We still haven't heard anything.
MS had a reply, it went something like: mostly full supply but still spot shortages, $9.4 billion to date on 360. And something about being the platform to play GTAIV on.

I'm surprised given the topic that nobody has commented on how badly Pachter missed on his 360 and PS3 sales predictions for this month.
According to the sales figures published by Gamasutra, industry forecaster and Wedbush Morgan sales analyst Michael Pachter lists the sales for Xbox 360 at about 310,000 March units, and Playstation 3 just slightly better with sales at about 365,000 units.
What I find funny is that Patcher is not actually "predicting" or "forecasting" anything as that would require that the prediction or forecast actually take place before the event happens.
All Patcher is doing is gather info from resources of past events and putting those estimates out before NPD can release their data.
