Official Xbox2 Thread

When do you guy think XB2 will be out: 2005 or 2006?

Most likely 2006. I think we will see all the consoles at that point in time.

I'm hopeing ms buys some smaller dev houses or even sega. They need more first party exclusives and Sega puts out alot of games each year . Hopefully the market will split better next gen so we don't have any one company with to much market share .

I was with you until this statement.... it is just wrong on so many levels.

Huh? Lets see, Intel has been taken very seriously in the market where they are selling plenty of Xeons and AMD can't seem to crack it all that well. Then we have the Itanium2 which keeps on getting more and more support from not only OEMs but people are starting to buy. This is because some of the things that Intel does to reassure customers that are considering their stuff is good quality.

AMD needs to be more like Intel and do this. Having Via, Nvidia and SiS as workstation chipsets, well that doesn't inspire any confidence here. You can bitch and whine about how you and others haven't had issues with said platforms, but the poeple making the decisions usually have people do some internal Q&A -- much to zealots' suprise. I heard serverworks will be hoping on board and I'm sure the Opterons will use a less tweaked process which is mroe concerned with reliability so they should be okay on that front.

I don't recall any said bitching or whining... perhaps you would care to point it out to me?

I merely disagreed with you and see no reason why I should be treated as some rabid idiot zealot.

With regards to the original statement, I assumed you were talking about business strategies in which case I would say those of AMD differ from INTEL greatly. If this is not the case, please elaborate on what exactly you meant.

Sorry, this was my fault for not proof reading. I didn't mean you, I meant zealots. There are others on the board who aren't reasonable.

In anycase, I mean interms of earning a good reputation with the gatekeeper of corporate IT spending. Sorry for the miscommunication on my part.
