Nvidia "Tritium" GPU?

Come to think of it, I wonder how Intel and AMD feel about bringing "auto overclocking" to the masses instead of just the hardcore?

I have a feeling it'll be more like ATi's auto-OCing. It'll be an OC, but a mild one at best.

ntune looks interesting to me. Might be nifty. They are utterly silent so far as I can tell about OCing the cpu, but it seems to me that this must have that capability as well, bringing the ability to pick Intel/AMD's pocket a bit (hey, I do it too!) to a lower technical level user.

tell you what, i would have been pretty uninterested in this a year ago. i was an averagely competent overclocker who'd had no problems and could see little drawback to overlocking my parts. Sadly, this year's Jetway mobo was a major disappointment in that regard. The IGP/SB chip was very undercooled and while I most certainly abused the hell out of it, the board eventually bit back and destroyed a piece of RAM when three of the four mem slots died. I'd had success with overvolting in the past, and although I realize I got a good bit out of it while the going was good, and it was cheeeap, I am actually for the first time looking forward to overclocking (an increasingly complex task) taking less of my (increasingly valuable) time. Anyway... best wishes to both gfx companies in the hopes they get it right! :p
