Meanwhile, although NVIDIA is quite happy with its NV40 design, the graphics processor itself will be available by Christmas at earliest, we were told.

So we're looking at Spring for both NV40 and Loki? I wonder how much more ATi can wring out of the R300 core....

But AFAIK, I think there's some confusion at ATI about that - they're thinking Christmas is Spring. What I mean by that is that it seems Loki is delayed until Spring.
I don't think NV40 is though, at least not yet ( "No, no, we'll have NV30 in stores by christmas! Don't worry investors! We will! Really!" )
