The PS3 has been supply constrained since the backend of December. With the large bump it looks like Sony are getting things sorted.Sony had a lot of bundle promotions in June.
Good month for all the hardware.
Can you give us the sales of both games?. Thanks.What's somewhat interesting is that RDR has the potential to do as well on PS3 as GoW 3 did. That's completely excluding X360 numbers which already beat it in the first 2 months.
A year or two ago, who'd have thought a Western would do better than a GoW title?

Where are PS2 sales numbers? they are still making and selling consoles...
I think this top 10 is overrated, it should be at least top 40 to get a better idea of genre sales.
The 360 slim was out of stock most of the month. I wonder if July numbers will be even higher for ms
Well the Sony PS3 numbers represent them solving their stocking problems so who knows?
found thisToy Story 3: The Video Game for Nintendo DS at No. 6 with more than 164,000 sold, Wii Fit™ Plus with the Wii Balance Board accessory at No. 7 with more than 148,000 sold and LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 for Wii at No. 9 with more than 136,000 sold.
eg heres march 2010
* God of War III
* Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver
* Final Fantasy XIII
* Metro 2033
* Just Cause 2
* Battlefield: Bad Company 2
* Yakuza 3

I know it's not NPD, but does anyone know how well RDR did outside the US? Makes me wonder if 'Western' as a genre has more or less resonance with US audiences.
MW2 at #14
not surprising if you checked amazons rankings at the time, the arcade was only a few places lower than the slim (the 50$ pricecut pushed some fencesitters to buy it). OTOH july will be a lot different though, arcade is now way way lower than the slim.The 360 SKU breakdown is pretty interesting. I'd have guessed more like 80% slims.
