Nintendo Switch 2

Presumably games for the Switch 2 will also benefit from a different software stack (likely more advanced than the PS4s) and integration than using a direct PC comparison as well. As such it's also likely to hit above it's direct PC hardware comparison in practice as well.

Personally, I wouldn't hold out for very long on the idea of Switch 2 gaining a significant API advantage over the PS4 in multiplatform titles outside of temporal upscaling ...

That's fine, I'm not predicting either way on that front other than it's likely at least somewhat more advanced.

But more so in terms of the context in that the Switch 2 will have the same optimization benefits over a direct PC comparison as is with the PS4 and other consoles as well.

Sure but the PS4 'lost' these optimization benefits overtime when PC started deploying similar techniques as well but what exactly useful "untapped features" does Switch 2 have that would surface up as a noticeable advantage with multiplatform games ?

The 100+ million install base can work wonders for Dev motivation to optimize. Especially when the hardware is this close in features.

Switch 1 was just too far behind tech wise for it to be feasible.

It's ambitious to assume that developers will somehow create a special renderer optimized for just a single console when it's not even the "lead platform" for many multiplatform developers ...
