Limited Edition Arkham Knight bundle will cost only $449 this summer, and basic Arkham Knight bundle [with normal black console] will cost $399. Very nice moves from Sony to fuel sales in the summer.

Looks great standing but probably not so good flat. Like that controller though.

Want! :yep2:

Amazon uk has an offer for Vita TV (amounts to 70 euros for me). Decided to go for it so I can try to remote play to the study, which is useful even just for site work, but hopefully games will play as well as on Vita.

PS4, the Sony console that have lots of face.

i think last time somebody went crazy with exterior was Nintendo with GameCube?

Nice bundles. Should bump sales, people love those non-standard consoles. I'm not sure how many Batman fans are out there though.
Batman is one of the biggest franchises in modern entertainment, spanning many genres and mediums. I reckon there's quite a few Batman fans out there!

Even Joel Schumacher couldn't destroy it :nope:

I'd be interested in hearing your impressions of the quality on a TV. I'd really like a Vita TV / PlayStation TV unit that connected over ethernet and streamed at 1080p.

Whenever something gets a complete reboot... it's because someone destroyed it. ;)

@Shifty Geezer
i means something that really released as-is from manufacturer with different "face edition".

X360 do have many editions, but all the same with minimal changes (Black/White/ with/without chrome)

Well after all the excitement, Spotify playback is pretty lame.

I agree though I have different reasons.

No "add album to library" support for the PS4 client. Navigation is cumbersome, you can't even browse through tracks of an album without interrupting playback (which causes a pause for each track in the playlist). Doesn't appear to have any "browse by label" support. The new release list is too slow to navigate to be of any use for music discovery.

The ad frequency was closer to 15 minutes from my initial listen with all ads being for Playstation. The app said I had to close the game I was playing to get back into it (to change the album I was playing) but then that didn't actually happen so I am not sure what the deal is there.

Just for comparison, I tried the Spotify web client again and it is pretty much as lame as it always has been, definitely wants to limit music discovery and funnel you to what Spotify wants you to listen to. It also requires a ridiculous number of 3rd party services to run and also gave me a certificate pinning error in Firefox.

I think their library is just as good as any other service at this point but the interface and discovery approach, yuck.

Spotify is the single best feature to be added to the PS4 so far. It's a bit like being able to rip discs to your 360 only without any of the hassles and it has a huge library! I'm chuffed with it.

Great bundles, should give the PS4 a nice bump. Wonder if the 399 Batman bundle is gonna replace the regular SKU considering it's the same price. Maybe instead of dropping the price this year, they'll just do bundles (like MGS5 later this year), and maybe do a $100 price drop next year.

Spotify is a really good surprise indeed, even if the app is a sore to use. I am really hoping they will improve the app later.

But It's really free (and the ads are short and quite rare surprisingly) so I take it.

Also now you can sort trophies by earned dates! finally!

I did others tests with suspend / resume. It appears the duration to resume the game is between min 6 seconds and max 14 seconds with values in between possible, depending if the hard drive is powered on or off. Last time I didn't wait enough, the HDD was still on, hence the very short times. I suppose it depends of the power state of the HDD because once I resumed one game after one whole night it took only 7 seconds, because by luck the PS4 was already automatically downloading stuff and the HDD was already on (and I suppose ready).

It would be interesting to test suspend and resume with a SSHD or Hybrid drive.
