Okay, I think I've heard that before. Sony just needs to educate people.

Ir's in their FAQ.

Does PS4’s graphical user interface have a name like the PS3 system’s “Cross Media Bar”?
PS4’s GUI is called PlayStation Dynamic Menu. We developed the new GUI based on key development ideas for PS4: Simple, Immediate, Social, Integrated, and Personalized.

It's previous name was Connected UI, IIRC.

PlayStation Kids Menu (PSKM), also available at McDonald's.

What don't they coin an informal term for the main UI ? In iOS, it's the SpringBoard. In Mac OSX, it's the desktop. Even on Vita, we have a bunch of LiveAreas.

Dynamic Menu sounds more like a characteristic than a "place" or a thing.

Perhaps Base Menu?
PlayStation Base Menu.
PS BM.
PSBM.

It has a certain ring to it...

Well...what about a 'firefly serenity' like epos from ND?? The hero would already match...

Since it's kinda confirmed it will be a space-based game, one would hope that ND would spin it and make it more compelling than 99.9% of the completely uninteresting space games out there.

Right. ;)

Obviously they mean the content only, but hey ... eventually who knows if the themes make their way back. I did rather enjoy them. That said, the XMB also left a lot of room for them.

Why would they rename a city because of a chip reveal...

I miss fancy names for CPU/GPUs...
Yes, Xenon/Xenos was kinda cool. RSX was... so so, but it made a bit of a difference, people knew what techies were talking about when discussing about the PS3. What about Glue? -because it is an APU, and the CPU/GPU are unified-.

Or Truffle Shell instead of onion and garlic.
